These UHF RFID stickers contain UCODE 8 chips, which are operating on radio frequencies between 860 MHz and 960 MHz, and are commonly used in a wide range of applications such as inventory management, supply chain management, and asset tracking, where it is necessary to identify and track objects or assets remotely and in real-time.
One of the main advantages of using UHF RFID tags is that they offer a longer read range than other types of RFID tags, such as HF (High Frequency) or LF (Low Frequency) tags.
This means that UHF RFID tags can be read from a distance of several meters away, which makes them ideal for use in applications such as warehouse management, where it is necessary to read large numbers of tags quickly and accurately.
The UCODE 8 stickers are made of plastic PET material, have dimensions of 100 x 50 mm and are applied on a roll.
They can be used on glass, wood, wall or other plastic materials. They are not suitable for use on metallic materials because the metal weakens the signal to the point that the chip no longer works.
The reading distance depends on the strength of the reader's signal and can be from a few centimeters to more than 5 meters.
The desktop UHF readers usually work at smaller distances, otherwise the management of the UHF stickers would not be possible because the reader would read many tags at once.
The
UHF reader Syris RD200-U1 has the possibility to adjust the signal strength and the reading distance can be from 1 to 5 cm.
