RFID wristbands with MIFARE Classic® EV1 1k chip
are very comfortable to wear silicone wristbands for verifying user identity at wellness centers, hotels, fitness, manufacturing companies, and in various other industries.
The MIFARE Classic® EV1 chip operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz, it has a pre-programmed chip identification number and 1 kB of programmable memory. The chip works according to the RFID protocol ISO/IEC 14443 Type A.
These silicone RFID wristbands look like a wristwatch and the size can be easily adjusted. The wristbands are waterproof and they can also be washed with soap or disinfected with any disinfectant.
Since the antennas for RFID wristbands are smaller than the ones used in RFID cards, the usual reading distance of wristbands is smaller and is readable from 1-5 cm.
Some chip manufacturers are offering similar chips and sometimes misleading customers, but we noticed that some readers can only read the genuine MIFARE Classic® chips.

If you need a color which is not available in our web shop, we can produce the wristbands with specific color according to the number from the Pantone scale.
RFID Wristbands with custom print or serialization
Material like silicone is not suitable for printing with a regular UV technology because the colors wear off easily. When printing on silicone wristbands, we have to use special printing technology and special colors. This way we can print the company logo or serial numbers.

There are a lot of different RFID chips and they differ in operating frequency, the amount of memory, reading distance, supported protocols, additional protection, or other functionalities.

Reading test for RFID wristbands with a MIFARE Classic EV1 1K
We have tested our MIFARE Classic wristbands with different kinds of readers and measured the reading distances. This is not an official test, but was made to inform you what reading distances you may expect with your application.
The reading distance between the card and the reader is affected by many different factors, like the size of the antennas and quality of the chips, the interferences of metal, and electromagnetic signals, etc.
