RFID technology is widely used in various industries and applications, such as retail, logistics, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, and more. It enables automation, improves efficiency, and enhances data accuracy by providing a way to automatically identify and track items without the need for direct line-of-sight contact between the tag and the reader.
Dual frequency RFID tags are small electronic devices that consist of 2 microchips and they are used for tracking and identifying various products or even people using radio waves. The microchip contains information like the unique chip ID and other information.
When an RFID tag comes into the proximity of an RFID reader, the reader sends out a radio signal that powers up the tag and the tag then responds by transmitting its stored information back to the reader.
These Dual frequency tags incorporate 2 chips functioning at distinct frequencies, ensuring they are compatible with both 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz technology-based systems
The TK4100 chips are a type of passive RFID chips commonly used for basic identification, access control and tracking purposes. They are part of the family of chips known as EM4100/4102 chips, which are cost-effective RFID chips operating at a frequency of 125 kHz and they contain preprogrammed ID numbers. These chips are read-only and they can be read with common 125 kHz readers.
MIFARE Classic chips are also passive RFID chips and they are widely used for various applications, including access control, public transportation, payment systems, and more.
They were developed by NXP Semiconductors and are part of the MIFARE family of RFID chips that operate at a frequency of 13.56 MHz. The MIFARE Classic EV1 chip has a pre-programmed ID number and 1kB of memory for storage of various data and application-specific information.
The Dual frequency RFID tags are made of PVC, the diameter is 25 mm and they are 0,7 mm thick.
They were designed to be installed in custom made RFID key fobs, you can sew them into various textile products and you can embed them in wooden or plastic products.
