The NFC chip can be read at a distance of approximately 3-5 cm from the center of the sticker. The reading distance may slightly vary depending on the device used, so for applications where the reading distance is critical, testing in the intended environment is recommended.
The NFC chip used is NTAG213, which is one of the most common NFC chips and allows for the use of a unique ID number, usually a 14-digit hexadecimal code, and 144 bytes of memory for storing URLs, text, or other data.
The NFC chip's ID number is visible to all NFC devices and cannot be hidden, while the memory content can be locked with a key. Programming can be done using a free NFC app and a smartphone with NFC capability.
