These dual frequency RFID cards can be used to unlock the electronic locks, record attendance at work, and they can identify users in countless applications, no matter if the systems support the 125 kHz chips or the 13.56 MHz ISO 14443 chips.
A dual frequency card contains a combination of a TK4100 chip and a F08 chip.
The TK4100 RFID chip is a very popular 125 kHz read-only chip that works like the EM4200 and its predecessors the EM4100 and EM4102. It has a preprogrammed unique ID number which is used as a key identifier for access control systems and other identification purposes.
The F08 is an ISO 14443 chip, it has a preprogrammed 4-byte long unique ID number which is used as key identifier in various RFID systems operating at 13.56 MHz and a storage capacity of 1kB bytes for storing transaction details or other information.
Dual frequency RFID cards are bright white and made from multiple layers of PVC. They have a standard credit card dimension 86 x 54 x 0.85 mm and can be printed with various brands of card printers like Zebra, HID Fargo, Matica, Magicard, Datacard, Evolis, and others.
Options for customization (for pricing please send us an inquiry)
Printed RFID cards
When we print 1–500 cards, we usually use high quality thermal retransfer printers and the cards can be even personalized with color employee photos or the chip UID numbers.
When we print 500 or more cards, we make a pre-print with offset printing technology and subsequent personalization with thermal printers. Offset printing technology is very cost effective for high quantities of cards, the disadvantage being that the process takes quite a long time (approx. 2 weeks).
If you need printed RFID cards, please send us an inquiry with the desired card quantity and deadline.
RFID cards with other chips
There are a lot of different RFID chips and they differ in operating frequency, the amount of memory, reading distance, supported protocols, additional protection, or other functionalities.
If you need the RFID card with another chip or a specific combination of chips, please send an inquiry.
The RFID chips we use the most are:
• 13.56 MHz: MIFARE Classic®, MIFARE DESFire®, NTAG, ICODE®, MIFARE Ultralight, Fudan F08, etc.
• 125 kHz chips: EM4200, TK4100, T5577, etc.
• UHF chips: Alien Higgs 9, UCODE 8, etc.
Reading test for Dual frequency RFID cards with 13.56 MHz and 125 kHz chip
We tested our dual frequency cards with different kinds of readers and measured the reading distances. This is not an official test, but was made to inform you what reading distances you may expect with your application.
The reading distance between the key fob and the reader is affected by many different factors, like the size of the antennas and quality of the chips, the interferences of metal, and electromagnetic signals, etc.
