The Pomag PCR300AR-02 is a serial RFID reader that communicates with a computer or other device via a serial communication protocol, such as RS-232.

Serial RFID readers are commonly used in applications such as inventory management, asset tracking, and access control, where they are used to read the unique identifier (UID) of RFID tags attached to items or people. 

The UID can then be used to lookup the associated data in a database or trigger a specific action, such as opening a door or logging an inventory transaction.

It is designed to operate with contactless smart cards and tags  that operate at a frequency of 125kHz. 

The supported chips are EM4200, TK4100, EM4102, EM4100, encoded T5577 chips and compatible ones.

The format of the reading is 10 HEX (10 digits in hexadecimal format).

The reader is powered with trough a PS/2 connector or other 5V DV power supply.
