INFO

Robust RFID tags with 125 kHz TK4100 chip and 3M adhesive are RFID tags with a sturdy housing made of ABS material. They have a 5mm hole for a screw or nail in the middle, and a strong 3M adhesive underneath and can be attached to the base in any way you like.

The TK4100 RFID chip is one of the most commonly used RFID chips that operates at a frequency of 125 kHz and contains a 64-bit ID code that is programmed into the chip during the manufacturing process and cannot be changed.

Common 125 kHz readers use the ID code in the format as a 10-digit decimal number or an 8-digit hexadecimal number, and the full ID code is obtained by reading the chip in 10 HEX format.

Robust RFID tags with a 125 kHz RFID chip are commonly used for product identification in various industries.

They are designed to withstand harsh environments and rough handling. They are built with materials and enclosures that offer resistance to moisture, higher temperatures, dust, and physical impact. This durability ensures that the RFID tags can withstand the rigors of manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and other challenging conditions.

Read distances for Robust RFID tags with 125 kHz TK4100 chip and 3M adhesive

We tested these tags with different types of readers and measured the reading distances. This is not an official test, but was made to inform you of the reading distances you can expect with your app.

Reading distances of 30 mm tags

RFID reader Reading distance
Syris RD200-LF 7 cm
R80D 5 cm
Promag PCR 300AU-02 4 cm
Promag PCR-330A-00 3 cm

Reading distances of 50 mm tags

RFID reader Reading distance
Syris RD200-LF 7 cm
R80D 5 cm
Promag PCR 300AU-02 4 cm
Promag PCR-330A-00 3 cm

The reading distance between the RFID card and the reader is affected by many different factors, such as antenna size and chip quality, metal interference and electromagnetic signals, etc.
