INFO
The converter supports bidirectional communication between the Wiegand and RS485 protocols.
The conversion direction is automatically detected based on signal flow — no manual switching, configuration, or jumper setting is required.
Supported Wiegand formats: WG26 / WG34
RS485 communication parameters: 9600 bps, No parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit (9600/N/8/1)
Example: RS485 (Reader) to Wiegand (Controller) Conversion
Connect the converter’s A/B (485+/485−) lines to the RS485 reader.
Connect the converter’s Wiegand output (D0/D1/GND) to the controller’s Wiegand input.
Make sure the GND of the converter is connected to the controller’s GND (common ground).
Send a 3-byte signal from the RS485 reader.
The converter outputs the signal in Wiegand 26-bit format on the Wiegand side.
Example: Wiegand (Reader) to RS485 (Controller) Conversion
Connect the reader’s D0/D1/GND to the converter’s Wiegand input.
Ensure GND is shared between the converter and the reader.
Connect the converter’s A/B (485+/485−) to the RS485 controller.
When the reader sends a Wiegand signal, the converter transmits the appropriate RS485 signal to the controller.
