INFO
Wooden NFC cards are an excellent choice for those who are aware of the environmental impact and seek eco-friendly alternatives to plastic cards.
The dimensions of the wooden NFC cards are 86x54 mm, with a thickness of 1.4 mm, slightly thicker than standard bank cards.
You can choose blank wooden NFC cards or send us a request for printed cards.
Typically, we print only the logo and necessary information on these cards using black or colored ink, leaving a significant portion of the card without printing to showcase the wood texture, making them biodegradable.
Personalization with names, other data, and barcodes or QR codes is also possible.
Wooden NFC cards contain NTAG213 or NTAG216 NFC chips. NTAG chips are among the most commonly used NFC chips and operate on the ISO14443A protocol (NFC Forum Type 2). NTAG213 and NTAG216 chips have pre-programmed unique ID numbers, which are usually read as 14-digit hexadecimal codes. Many NFC applications use this code for authentication.
NTAG chips also contain memory where you can write any URL address, text, and other data. NTAG213 and NTAG216 chips only differ in memory size. NTAG213 chips have 144 bytes of memory, which is enough for approximately 135 characters of a URL address, while NTAG216 chips have 888 bytes of memory.
You can program NTAG chips with an NFC-enabled smartphone using free applications such as NFC Tools, NXP Tag Writer, and others.
