RFID Key fobs with a
MIFARE Classic® EV1 1k chip are basically RFID transponders in the form of a keychain and are very convenient to carry around. They can identify users, unlock the doors, pay for a coffee at a vending machine, or can be in various other RFID applications.
The MIFARE Classic® EV1 chips very popular chips, made by NXP Semiconductors and used in countless applications worldwide.
Since some other manufacturers are producing very similar chips, we recommend to check the chip’s authenticity with a mobile app
NXP TagInfo.
They chip operating frequency is 13.56 MHz and work according to the ISO/IEC 14443 Type A standard.
The common RFID applications use for identification purposes the read-only identification number, which is pre-programmed during the manufacturing process and it cannot be changed. This is usually a 4-byte long ID number, but there are also special versions of MIFARE Classic® chips with a 7-bytes long ID number.
The common MIFARE Classic® chip has 1 kB of programmable memory for storing product or user data, but there are also MIFARE Classic® chips with a 4 kB memory.
Our RFID key fobs with MIFARE Classic® EV1 have a 4-byte long ID number and 1 kB of programmable memory.
They have a well-known plastic tear-shaped housing with a dimension of 40 x 32 x 3.5 mm, a metallic ring, and are available in multiple colors (blue, red, gray, black, orange, green, yellow).
The key fobs are without the numeration or other printed elements, but if you need the customization, please let us know and we will send you an offer.
Options for customization (for pricing please send an inquiry)
Beside the key fobs from stock, we can produce customized key fobs with a housing in different color or shape. We can do various printing service like printing company logos, serial numbers, or chip ID codes. Beside the most common chip version there are available also other chip variations with 7-byte long ID codes and the larger memory size of 4 kB.
Reading test for RFID Key fobs with a MIFARE Classic EV1 1k chip
We tested the key fobs with a MIFARE Classic EV1 1k chip key fobs with different kinds of readers and measured the reading distances. This is not an official test, but was made to inform you what reading distances you may expect with your application.
The reading distance between the key fob and the reader is affected by many different factors, like the size of the antennas and quality of the chips, the interferences of metal, and electromagnetic signals, etc.
