The MIFARE® DESFire® EV2 8 kB cards offer 8 kB of memory and ensure a higher level of security compared to other standard RFID chips (e.g., MIFARE Classic® 1K) due to their hardware and software chip protection.

The MIFARE® DESFire® EV2 8k can be read by RFID or NFC readers using the ISO 14443A protocol. Mobile phones with NFC readers are also capable of reading these chips.
