INFO
Plastic NFC tags include the widely used NTAG213 chip, additional ferrite protection, and strong 3M adhesive.
They are suitable for application on various surfaces including glass, plastic, wood, and even metal.
Since metal can interfere with reader performance and often significantly reduces tag responsiveness, we generally do not recommend using NFC tags directly on metal. If this cannot be avoided, we suggest testing the functionality with a sample before placing a larger order.
These NFC tags are also available with mounting holes.
They are ideal for marketing purposes, product identification, location tagging, or personal use.
When a user scans an NFC tag, it can launch web or video content, start navigation, display text, open an app, make a phone call, or perform various other NFC functions.
For identification purposes, an app typically reads the chip’s ID number and retrieves relevant data from a connected database.
NFC tags are also suitable for personal use, to simplify routine tasks or assist individuals with special needs.
The tags feature the NTAG213 NFC chip, a cost-effective solution compatible with the ISO/IEC 14443-3A standard.
The NTAG213 chip includes a 7-byte unique ID coded by the manufacturer and EEPROM memory for storing up to 144 bytes of data—enough for a 136-character URL or other short data strings.
The memory can be configured as "read-only" and locked to prevent future changes. The chip ID is always publicly readable via most NFC applications and is commonly used to link the user to related information in an app’s database.

These NFC tags are compatible with metal mounting, but metal can also affect the reader’s performance and significantly reduce the effective reading range.
If metal mounting is unavoidable, we recommend testing the performance in your specific use case.
We also offer printed NFC tags and custom NFC tags in various shapes and sizes.
