These plastic NFC tags with ICODE SLIX chips and metal-surface protection are manufactured from PVC material, have a diameter of 25 mm, and are approximately as thick as bank cards (around 1 mm).
They contain a 13.56 MHz NFC ICODE® chip, which operates according to ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO 18000-3M1 protocols, and is classified as an NFC Type 5 chip.
These tags are not suitable for use with conventional NFC readers operating under the ISO14443 protocol.
ICODE NFC chips can function over greater distances, reaching up to 1.5 meters with specialized equipment.
For identification purposes, the chip’s 8-byte UID (Chip Unique ID) number is typically used, although there are also 106 bytes of user memory available.
