INFO
The converter supports bidirectional conversion between the Wiegand and RS232 protocols.
The direction of data flow is automatically detected, with no need for manual switching or configuration.
Supported Wiegand format: WG66
RS232 parameters: 9600 bps, No parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit (9600N81)
Output format (RS232): ASCII text
Example: RS232 (Reader) → Wiegand (Controller)
Connect the converter’s RS232+/RS232- (A/B) wires to the RS232 reader.
Connect the D0/D1/GND terminals of the converter to the Wiegand input of the controller.
Make sure GND is connected to the common ground of the target device.
When the RS232 reader sends data, the converter outputs it in Wiegand 66-bit format.
Example: Wiegand (Reader) → RS232 (Controller or PC)
Connect the Wiegand reader to the converter’s D0/D1/GND terminals.
Connect GND between the converter and the reader.
Connect RS232+/RS232- (A/B) lines from the converter to the RS232 controller or PC.
When the reader sends a Wiegand signal, the converter transmits a corresponding RS232 signal.
