MIFARE® DESFire® EV2 chips are made by the trusted chip manufacturer NXP Semiconductors, and are the most popular NFC Type 4 chips (chips for secure transactions). They operate on a frequency of 13.56 MHz and are compatible with the RFID standards ISO/IEC 14443-4A/B and ISO/IEC 7816.
They have a 7-byte long chip Unique ID number (UID) and 2, 4, or 8 Kbytes of data. MIFARE DESFire EV2 chips use multiple hardware cryptographic engines for secure transactions. The data retention time for these chips is 25 years.
MIFARE DESFire EV2 chips are typically used for:

Our plastic stickers with a MIFARE DESFire EV2 2K chip have a storage capacity of 2 Kbytes, are waterproof, have a diameter of 38 mm, and they are approximately 0.3 mm thick. The stickers are bright white, without numeration or other printed elements.
The top layer is a made form white plastic material (PET), in between there is a layer with a chip and at the bottom there is an adhesive layer with a strong 3M glue type 467MP 200MP, which is highly viscous adhesive, resistant to high temperature and humidity, and will make sure this sticker will stay in place for a long time.
They can be used on glass, wood, a wall, or other plastic materials. They are not suitable for use on metallic materials like metallic door frames, promotional boards, electronic equipment with metallic cases, etc. If you need to use your stickers on metal, check the special

Reading test for Plastic stickers with a MIFARE DESFire EV2 2K chip
We tested the plastic stickers with a chip MIFARE DESFire EV2 2K stickers with different kinds of readers and measured the reading distances. This is not an official test, but it was made to provide information about what reading distances you may expect with your application. The reading distance between the RFID transponder and the reader is affected by many different factors, like the size of the antennas and quality of the chips, the interferences of metal, and electromagnetic signals, etc.
